Sanguinaria canadensis flore plena (multiplex 'Plena')

Commonly known as 'blood root', this queen of marginal woodland plants throws up stems of fully double pure white cup-shaped flowers in early spring. The foliage follows flowering with grey-green kidney shaped leaves. It requires some shade and a moist but well-drained soil.
