A neat bulbous perennial with scented bright yellow flowers with deep burgundy central blotches. Flowering in spring it makes a nice specimen plant in an alpine pan grown under glass. If planting outdoors then choose a well drained sunny site in good garden soil in a sheltered spot. Plant deep and mulch to overwinter.
