Romulea macowanii alticola

When this glistening canary yellow flower with golden inner throat opens it is one good reason to be cheerful. Will do best in a terracotta pan in a glasshouse or alpine house. Allow pan to dry out as Autumn approaches and store until spring then keep moist to trigger growth. If growing outdoors it requires a very well drained sheltered sunny site and the bulbs lifted in Autumn and stored dry over winter. Alternatively plant deep by half again as per normal and mulch well over winter.
