I think I'm right in saying Monty was the gardener or dog ! of Ruth McConnell of Albrighton Shrophire. Nmaed over 60 years ago. She was an avid collector and hybridizer. Deep carmine pink flowers all summer if kept well watered . Dead heading regularly helps to prolong flowering.
