A bulbous perennial for a sharply drained, sunny sheltered position outdoors. Can be alpine pan grown under glass. Prostrate leathery green leaves spotted red appear after summer dormancy. Then there emerges a thick flower stalk surrounded in strange tubular white and purple florets.
